It's Christmas Time...

Time is flying by....And it is already Christmas this Weekend.
I can't believe it has been since October since I last wrote on the blog.... It is often on my mind to write so all our family and friends can keep us with us but time has just not allowed it the past few months. I will try and give you a quick update without boring you and hopefully I will be able to stay on top of this more. I am also going to include pictures under each month as well!

October:
Since my October post Ethan's soccer has ended. He often ask about it so I think it will be a sport we sign him up for next year. He will be doing t-ball this spring so that will be a whole new sport for us and we will see how he likes it. I guess at his age it is a trial and error process to figure out what they like. ;-) When he starts t-ball he will have practices twice a week and a game each week. I am sure it will keep our week nights busy as well as doing our weekly church Bible study. October was a bit of a slower month for us, which was nice b/c since then things have been in fast gear!
Oh, and my mom was able to come up the last weekend in October. Gus and I had a wedding to attend in Savannah so she came up to spend the weekend and watched the boys that Saturday night so we could go to the wedding. It ended up being a really pretty weekend, so we were able to play outside most of the day and just enjoy the outdoors. She was able to stay and visit our church the next morning and then headed home that Sunday afternoon. We enjoyed the time and so did the boys!

November:
In November we spent most of the month busy with normal daily and weekly things, playing outside, bible studies, church, and play-dates. I finally made an appointment for the boys to meet there new doctor and they had check-ups while they were there. Ethan weighed 38 lbs and was 42 inches tall. Tucker was 22 lbs. and was 32 inches tall. All went well and we LOVED the doctor.
Ethan did have a sore leg from his shot for a couple of days but overall everything was great~
The weekend before Thanksgiving the Bandstra's came and stayed with us for the weekend. We enjoyed the company as I think they did as well.
For Thanksgiving week we went into Jax from Tuesday night to Thanksgiving night. That Wednesday we met up with our friends for lunch and afterwards we went took the boys to a park so they could run around a bit before there nap. Gus' grandparents always let us stay with them and it makes it very convenient and helpful.
That Thursday we did the Thanksgiving dinner with Gus' family and then drove back home later that night. My family was coming up the next morning to Savannah so we needed to get home and get some food started. ;-)
That Friday my sister Hannah, Brittany and her family, my mom and Omi came up to have our Thanksgiving dinner. We REALLY enjoyed the weekend with everyone here and did NOT want them to leave. It will probably be a while before we are all together again. But I guess that is how it is when everyone starts to move away.
Thanks to all the Family who came up and spent time with us!
A morning at the park with the Bandstra Family.....

Thanksgiving Weekend:

December:
Well as we all know December is not over, yet. But so far it is going by fast (not by choice, it just seems to go by faster and faster each year.) My mom was able to visit us one more time before the holidays. She came up the second weekend of December to watch the boys for us again. Gus had his work Christmas party in Jax and we needed to do a little shopping without the boys so she came up to keep them for us that weekend. We ended up driving home late that night after the party so we could be at church the next morning so I could teach. I don't think we will be doing that again---I think we are starting to realize we aren't that young anymore and we tend to exhaust ourselves to often by cramming as much as we can into our lives. So we are going to try and not do that as much anymore... Haha....I'll let you how that goes with OCD and an A type personality!
We had a Church Children's Christmas Party at our house this past weekend. It was lots of fun and I think the kids really enjoyed it! I had a friend take some pictures with her camera so I will try and get them from her and I will post them when I get them.
So for now I just have these two pictures but there will be lots to come after Christmas....
Have a Merry Christmas!!!

This picture might look a little familiar to some....

Some Snapshots of Us

These were some pictures we took at the house before heading to dinner last Friday. The boys are getting so big and Tucker is really starting to use words to let you know what he wants. We spend most mornings outside and at the park now that the weather is really nice. The boys love outside and it is great for them to run around and get all that energy out! As Thanksgiving is right around the corner I am beginning to get the baking urge and so I am sure there is a rainy baking day coming soon! I will try and take more pictures of our life and update you more often. We are now into a routine so I hope to be able to capture more of what we do up here in Georgia.

More Of Ethan's Soccer....
These pictures were taken during his last practice. We unfortunately had his soccer shorts still in the wash so he wasn't able to wear them but he did wear his team shirt. I think he is sad it's over but seemed to really like the class. I guess we will try it again next year and see if he still likes it!

Soccer Fall 2010

This is Ethan's first year taking soccer lessons. They call it Smart Start Soccer. It is for 3 and 4 year olds. They teach them how to play, the rules, and also play some fun games during practice. Ethan goes every Tuesday night from 6-7 pm. He seems to really have a great time and we all have such a blast watching all the little ones run around. The parents have to be involved with this age group and the kids do not actually play any games but they are sure getting good! Here are some of the pictures that I took during a lesson two weeks ago.

Ethan is acting all goofy here! But I love it!
 Now he's serious!
Here they are listening to the coach explain what they are going to do. I love the boy to the right "Billy" getting stuff out of his mouth. So funny!

I don't know what he was thinking here. Rule #1 No hands
This little girl is so cute. I just had to get a few shots of her and her smile.

 Break Time!
 What about me, Mommy?
